Philip Leung is a SES Human Capital Advisor, based in Hong Kong.
Philip has been a Corporate Executive and Entrepreneur in Information Technology, both in Asia and the US, in his 30+ year career. He is seasoned in building tech businesses in the region, particularly US firms entering the China market, as well as PRC company entrants into the US. He is Managing Director at Sancus Technology Partners and previously served as Managing Director East Asia for Compaq, President APAC for Silicon Graphics, CEO of Chinese Books Cyberstore, CEO of Vtech US, GM of AMD Taiwan, Managing Partner of Commence Technology Partners and Venture Partner of Fenox Venture Capital.
Philip was a Governor at The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong where he was founding Chair of China Affairs Group, Chair of the IT Committee, and is known for creating the high profile annual China Conference. More recently, Philip was President of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong during 2013-2016, where he created signature seminar series, developed an active advocacy program and was widely recognized for bringing the Chamber to new heights. As Founding President of the Pearl River Delta Chapter of AAMA, Silicon Valley’s largest non-profit organization for the Asian-American high-tech community, Philip launched both PRD chapters in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Philip is a frequent speaker and thought leader on driving social and economic progress in the Pearl River Delta, through innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. He also served as an Adjunct Professor in City University of HK, and teaches occasionally in HKU and HK Polytechnic University. Philip holds an MBA from Harvard University, and a BS (Engineering) from Hong Kong University. He is tri-lingual, with fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
