Abha Kapoor is Director, based in Mumbai.

Ms Kapoor has conducted numerous search assignments in the media, entertainment, telecom & FMCG sectors. Her clients comprise large multinationals, Indian organizations, and mid size promoter driven companies. She has successfully built entire startup teams across all functions for some of the leading broadcasters, radio stations, production houses and music labels. She has also handled senior level assignments in the telecom, FMCG, advertising and internet categories. Her wide network with clients and senior management in her domain of expertise, the integrity of her approach and quality of her deliverables is well recognized in the industry.

Prior to aligning with the SES Group, in 1996, Ms Kapoor co founded K & J Search Consultants Pvt Ltd, a pioneer search firm, with successful forays in the media, entertainment, telecom and consumer sectors. In addition, she previously established her own search practice in 1995 focusing on the emerging media/telecom industries and in 1990, Ms Kapoor set up a recruitment arm for a financial services company. Ms Kapoor began her career as a banker in 1985 with an international bank and in 1989, she was the Head of the Western Region of India for a financial services company. It was during her tenure with this company, when Ms. Kapoor began informally recommending and placing banking professionals in various parts of the world.

Born and raised in India, Ms Kapoor graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the Sydenham College (University of Mumbai). She later obtained a Masters degree in Management, with a major in Marketing from the Mumbai University.
