Gary Koh is the President & CEO of the SES Seoul office.

Gary pioneered the search industry in Korea by founding his firm in 1987 allowing him to introduce the retained executive search practice in Korea under the Ward Howell name. Since then he has placed numerous Korean executives in key roles in both the domestic and foreign companies. Gary began his career with a local commercial bank as a senior officer in the international business department. He was later called upon to join a Swedish-American joint venture responsible for operations in Korea. He initiated the establishment of “The Korea Executive Search Consultants Association” and served as the President in 2001. He is also one of the founders and acting Vice President of the “21st Century Executive Forum, one of the largest CEO social network groups in Korea. Gary has also been selected as one of the top 200 global recruiters by the Economist Intelligence Unit and is involved with other `talent management` lectures and seminars within the Korean business community.

With over 20 years of experience, Gary focuses his attention on senior level searches in finance, semiconductors, telecommunications, and other key industries. He is often cited as an industry expert in various local media outlets and has contributed invaluable articles on talent acquisition and management.

Gary graduated with a B.A. degree in the English Language and Literature minoring in Political Science from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul. He went on to attend the Graduate School of International Trade of the same university where he received his MBA degree. He also gained government registered management consultant in the field of personnel and organization management

Gary is an avid golfer and also enjoys mountain climbing and traveling. He is married with 1 son and 1 daughter and is currently residing in Seoul.
