Jim Crowe is Managing Director of Strategic Executive Search, based in Sydney, Australia and Hong Kong.

Mr Crowe is a leading executive search practitioner in the asset/fund management industry in Asia Pacific. He has undertaken numerous regional searches for European, Australian and American financial institutions, as well as, substantial domestic engagements for Australian corporations and boutique start-up asset management firms. Mr Crowe works closely with the Boards of Directors, senior management and business owners in identifying and securing Chief Executive Officers, senior management and talented technical specialists. Mr Crowe has carried out senior search assignments across the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

Prior to joining the Strategic Executive Search Group, Mr Crowe was the co founding partner of Roussos Crowe and Palmer Holt; a financial services executive search boutique in Asia, established since1986. He first came to Sydney, Australia in 1980, as a senior manager with a medium-sized firm, involved in learning, development and organizational development. He began his career in Canada, with Peat Marwick’s Business Advisory Division, where he played a role with international firms in primary production, venture capital, finance and insurance.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Mr Crowe's involvement in Asia began when he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 1970 he worked and traveled widely in South East Asia, Hong Kong and Japan. Returning to Canada, Mr Crowe completed an MBA at Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada in 1974. He is a founding member and Chamber Representative of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Australia and an honorary affiliate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
