Julian Buckeridge is Managing Director, Greater China based in Taipei. He co-leads the firm's Consumer and Financial Services Practice Groups.

Over the last 7 years at SES, Mr Buckeridge has successfully completed over 100 senior level search assignments across the region, covering all key functions for a range of multinational and Asian consumer driven businesses. He focuses on Greater China, and utilizes his Mandarin language capability, as well as general management experience with multinational corporations and a proven track record in company establishment, organizational development and successful hiring of staff, to assist clients with the critical strategic recruitment of key executives.

In his prior commercial career of 12 years, Mr Buckeridge was the Managing Director of Clear Channel Communications (CCU), where he led the aggressive expansion, resulting in CCU becoming the second largest outdoor media company in Taiwan. He was also General Manager, Taiwan for International Distillers & Vitners (now Diageo), as well as the Executive Vice President Korea, setting up the company's joint venture sales & marketing operations. He began his career with Harrison & Crossfields.

Born in the UK, Mr Buckeridge graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into the 6th Gurkha Rifles in 1981. He studied Nepali, and served primarily in Hong Kong, Nepal, South Korea and Brunei, carrying out many other deployments worldwide, completing his Short Service Commission in 1988 as a Captain at the School of Infantry. Now married with two young sons, Mr Buckeridge has interests in adventure expeditions, elephant polo, and learning languages.
