Lee Brantingham, based in Shanghai, leads the Shanghai and Beijing offices. He also co-leads the firm's Technology Practice Group.

Since joining SES in 2003, Mr Brantingham has placed the Asian leadership teams for some digital media's most recognized brands; including the market leaders in internet search, auctions, payment, gaming and classified. In addition, to technology, he covers financial services and private equity. The majority of Mr Brantingham's executive search assignments over the past 5 years have focused on recruiting country and regional heads, and their direct reports, from early stage private to multi billion dollar public firms. His strength is in understanding the core business issues and working with diverse teams to help translate that understanding into leaders that will drive a company's success.

Prior to joining SES, Mr Brantingham was the Director of Business Development, Greater China for NASDAQ listed Descartes Systems, a leading logistics supply chain software vendor, where he established the Taiwan operations. His earlier career also included Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific for American Tool Companies, where he marketed 25 brands across 22 countries and Director of Mainland China Operations for a large American manufacturing concern, where he set up the Shanghai office, as well as a number of joint venture manufacturing plants in Shandong and Jiangsu Provinces.

Born and raised in Portland Oregon, Mr Brantingham graduated with a B.A. degree from Portland State University. Mr Brantingham first came to Asia in 1987 and completed an advanced Mandarin Chinese program at Shanghai University in 1991. He has subsequently lived in Shanghai and Greater China since then. He is bilingual in English and Mandarin.
